Snowed Under Buy the shovel job, or wait

A short Chilla's Art experiment. Mixed for a reason. This page is the buy desk, not a spoiler reel.

Should You Buy

Snowed Under is a two-to-four-hour single-player Steam title from Chilla’s Art. You shovel toward a radio tower, talk to Kai, and walk buried rooms. Steam opened Mixed. Japanese press listed ¥1050, with a launch sale around ¥945 into late August 2026. The English store showed a short 10% intro near $7.99. Those numbers move. Trust Steam on the day you pay.

This page is the buy sibling of the review hub. Specs stay on system requirements. Comfort stays on performance. How to play after you already paid stays on Getting Started. I will not invent a hidden multiplayer mode or a second OS. Windows only. One player. Kai is an NPC.

What you are actually buying

Four pillars sat on the store: shoveling, shovel upgrades, landmarks, conversations with Kai. The Mixed split is mostly about the first three becoming a job. The fourth pillar is why some fans still recommend it. Automaton West called the relationship the crux. Game*Spark framed ヒトコワ next to 心霊ホラー. If you want constant jumpscares, you are shopping the wrong hook. If you want a short, uncomfortable friendship in a whiteout, you are closer.

The studio said this title is light compared with older heavy Chilla’s Art builds. That claim is about frame rate, not about whether the snow overlay feels kind. Read performance before you buy on a laptop you already hate.

Why Mixed is not a mystery

People who recommend it like the first tunnels, the occasional wrong interior, Kai’s writing, and a shovel curve that becomes satisfying if you like the verb. People who do not call it a snow simulator in a horror jacket. Late upgrades flatten the field. Wolves are slow or stuck. Rooms pay scrap. Story felt thin next to The Bathhouse or The Closing Shift. Freezes and Day 2/3 stalls still sit on known bugs.

AI was used in pre-production for concepts and blockouts. Final assets are claimed human. Some buyers still bounced on the disclosure. That is a values call, not a FPS call. This wiki will not hide it.

Who should buy this week

Buy if you already like short Chilla’s Art chores, you can enjoy a repetitive physical verb, you will save often, and a sale price is sitting in front of you. Buy if you want The Full Story paper hunt and you accept that documents are walls, not a published Ending B equation.

Wait or skip if you need dense puzzles, constant scares, a second human in the snow, Mac, or a map that never asks you to jump to see a roof. Wishlist history from UMIGARI is not a guarantee. Several fans called this their least favorite. That is a real sentence from launch week, not a wiki mood.

If you only want 100 percent, read achievements and charms before you pay. Patrons started rare. Ending B is not printed as a formula. The old house is a landmark with outdoor charms and a 1.03 brightness pass, not a secret dungeon this wiki can sell you.

What patches already changed

Steam news in the first days listed 1.02 through 1.06. Patron pickup freeze. Old house brightness, monster cries, bath and pachinko events. Tower roof VFX. Scrap counts. Localization and achievement triggers. They do not add a second horror verb. Details: patch notes. If you refund over a roof ice bug that 1.04 already killed, you used the store backwards.

How to decide in ten minutes

  1. Watch the official trailer on the review hub. That is the studio’s own picture.
  2. Read two Mixed paragraphs above. If the shovel job sounds like work you will hate, stop.
  3. Check your Windows box against system requirements.
  4. If you still want it, buy, update, then follow Getting Started. Save at base camp before you poke bags.

This wiki is unofficial. Official store: Steam app 4938200. Developer: chillasart.co.jp. Price and review score will move after this sentence is written. The shovel will not.
