Snowed Under Read the walls before you loot the box

The Full Story wants every document. Boxes often only want more scrap.

Documents and Lore

Documents in Snowed Under are not a second inventory tab you sort at camp. They are paper on walls, in rooms, and along the same visits where you grab scrap and keys. The Steam achievement The Full Story asks you to read every document. That is the official ceiling. This wiki will not invent a hidden item code, a cipher, or a day-one ARG. If Chilla’s Art did not name it, it is not a requirement here.

Treat this page as the paper sibling of charms and keys and Kai. Charms are outdoor rings. Kai is the fire. Documents are why an empty-looking interior can still be worth a slow walk.

What Steam actually confirms

  • The Full Story exists and wants every document read.
  • Ending A and Ending B exist as separate story achievements.
  • A Signal in the Snow is the radio tower, not a note.
  • A Friendly Face is meeting the NPC.

Everything else is labeled. Players hunting Ending B often say they already explored and already read the paper, then asked what else to do. That thread is useful because it tells you documents are necessary-feeling and still not a published equation. Do not turn a Steam question into a fake ritual on this wiki.

How to collect without getting lost

Clear a building the way the landmarks page already teaches: find the roof, enter, walk the walls, then the boxes. Read first. Loot second. A player who opens every crate and skips every sheet will hit Leave Nothing Behind and still miss The Full Story. Those are different piles.

The old house is the building launch players named most for interiors, outdoor charms, and the 1.03 brightness pass. If a room looked like a black box on a day-one clip, update before you decide the paper is invisible. 1.03 also named a public bath event and a pachinko event. Those are official event words. They are not a second document list we invented. When you see them, read whatever is on the walls there too.

Jump peeks still matter. Whiteouts hide doors. Controls covers the peek. How to Dig covers the highway you use to return to the same doorway tomorrow.

What documents are not

They are not daily codes. They are not a Trello board. They are not a multiplayer lore dump. Snowed Under is single-player. They are not automatically Ending B. They are not a substitute for talking to Kai. A completionist who reads every sheet and never uses a camp prompt has done half the story homework.

Patron content is also not a document. 1.02 fixed a freeze when patron pickups stuck the client. Save before you touch those objects. 1.03 changed the patron image on the main menu. That is menu art, not a wall note.

Route if you care about 100 percent

  1. Soft ring, first shovel upgrade, Getting Started.
  2. Buildings as nodes, not a race to the steel tower.
  3. Walls, then boxes, then outdoor charm rings.
  4. Talk at the fire when a line waits.
  5. Only then open the ending checklist and the achievement tracker.

If night stalls or a photo eats your tools, stop collecting and read known bugs. Paper is not worth a deleted hour.

The review hub already warned that some interiors pay scrap instead of scares. Documents are the reason to keep walking those rooms anyway. If a room has neither paper nor scrap nor a key, leave. Do not excavate the mountain into a parking lot because a YouTube title promised a secret basement this wiki cannot see.

When 1.06 adjusted achievement triggers, repeat the last unread sheet after you update. A badge that should have popped on a day-one file may need the action again with Steam online. That is cheaper than assuming The Full Story is broken.

Keep this page next to the walkthrough if you are lost on which building you have not entered. The walkthrough is days. This page is walls. They are not the same search.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Do documents unlock Ending B?

Steam does not print that equation. Players who already read everything still asked how to get B. Treat paper as required-feeling, not as a published key.

Are notes inventory items?

No. You read them in the world. The Full Story still counts the reading.

Should I loot boxes first?

Read walls first. Boxes are often more scrap. Paper is the badge that empty crates cannot give you.

Did a patch add more documents?

1.04 added dialogue, not a listed document pack. 1.03 named bath and pachinko events. Check walls there after you update.
