Snowed Under Charms, keys, and hidden extras

Four omamori sit outside the old house. Keys usually buy more scrap, not a secret ending item.

Charms and Keys

Collectibles are where Snowed Under completion time explodes past the two-to-four-hour story. Steam names The Full Story (every document), No Shelter Left Unseen (every building), and Patrons (all patron contents). Players also hunt omamori charms that are not always listed in those English descriptions. This page is the item-side of that hunt. Geography sits on landmarks. Badges sit on achievements.

Keys and boxes

Keys are world pickups. Boxes they open are, according to a long Japanese review, mostly scrap payloads rather than unique story relics. That is frustrating if you are ending-hunting and exciting if you still need Leave Nothing Behind. Open them anyway: you might still find a document nearby, and you will not know until you look.

Do not assume a gold scrap cache is a late-game jackpot. The same review said gold arrived after upgrades were already unnecessary. Bank it, then stop opening boxes for power and start opening rooms for The Full Story.

Charms (omamori)

A Steam discussion in Chinese said the author thought every charm was inside houses, then found four around the exterior of the old house. Walk the outside. Jump. Check corners the snow still hugs. Indoor-only search patterns fail this game.

Another reviewer said they cleared almost all snow and still lacked charms, and suspected some were achievement-click luck. A different player hunting full completion could not find four remaining supporter-related pieces after houses were done. Those reports may overlap with Patrons rather than ordinary omamori. Until Chilla’s Art publishes a list, treat outdoor rings as mandatory and indoor shelves as incomplete.

When you clear a building for No Shelter Left Unseen, do a second lap outside before you tunnel away. Link that habit to the old house page and the walkthrough midgame section. 1.02 also fixed a freeze when patron content is picked up. Save first.

Patrons

Patrons: collect all patron contents. Global unlock rate started extremely low. That usually means off-path props, supporter thanks, or objects that do not look like loot. This wiki will not fabricate coordinates. Search slowly, use a second save, and compare a full exploration video such as the endings playthrough that also tours buildings.

If you only want Ending B, do not start with Patrons. Community flags for B are story-shaped (A first, talks, documents), not a 0.6% trinket. See the ending checklist.

Documents are collectibles too

Papers on walls are easy to skip because they are not bag items. The Full Story still wants them. Read, then shovel. If the day work limit hits, good: go home, talk to Kai, save. That is how story and loot stay in sync.

Need metal instead of relics? Scrap and upgrades. Need stamina to search longer? Food and supplies. Need a door list? No Shelter Left Unseen on the tracker. Need bugs that hide interactions? Known bugs if a prompt ate your tools before you could loot.

One more habit that saves a second playthrough: photograph the old house ring in your mind before you flatten the snow. Once Fully Equipped deletes berms, outdoor charms are harder to notice against a flat white slab. Hunt collectibles while the terrain still has corners. That is the opposite of the story rush, and it is why completion time leaves the store estimate behind.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Where are the four old-house charms?

Players report them around the exterior ring, not only inside rooms. Walk the outside after you enter.

Do keys unlock Ending B?

No evidence. Boxes usually contain scrap. B is discussed as a post-A story flag.

What is Patrons?

A rare achievement for all patron contents. Expect off-path props. We do not list fake GPS pins.

Should I read every note?

Yes for The Full Story, and it may help ending flags. Notes also eat the daily work limit, which returns you to Kai.
